Lots of potential for collaborative activities where learners can work together to build a shared resource. An individual wiki variation provides an opportunity to create a private space in a course for learners to capture their note and reflections. A simple interface makes simple or complex wikis easy to create, all changes are auditable.

An elegant and simple way to capture contributions from learners using pre-defined templates. Entries can be searched, sorted, commented upon and rated.
One of the uses of a glossary can be to collect information from others. Once submitted, these entries can remain hidden until a teacher authorises them. As participants are aware that others can see their entry, these can provide motivation.

Database
A powerful, form based activity to facilitate the capture and display of learner contributions or course resources using an extensive array of pre-defined field types. Once set up, a database can become a searchable repository of learners’ contributions, whether these are hyperlinks, files, media or key information.

Choice
These are activities where participants make a choice in the form of a one-question feedback form. There are a number of different ways that information submitted can be displayed and when. However this is achieved, the result is a collection of opinions from access the course participants.
Simple and fun, a straightforward single issue poll activity for capturing votes on any topic. Handy for a host of administrative tasks too.
